On July 13–14, 2026, WebX 2026 — Asia’s largest-scale Web3 conference — was held in Tokyo. Invited by a partner, Hyperchain attended the event, and what stood out above all was how this year’s agenda pushed several threads that had long run in parallel — artificial intelligence, blockchain infrastructure, financial markets, and regulatory governance — onto the same axis of discussion. Looking across the whole conference, the most conspicuous change is that the center of gravity has moved away from “what blockchain can do” toward “how blockchain can provide a trusted and deterministic foundation for the AI era.”
